Cytonome Adds to Executive Team

Boston, MA, July 25, 2005 - Cytonome, Inc., developer of the clinical-grade, Gigasort™ optical cell sorter, announced today that Philip Vorwald has joined its management team, being appointed Vice President of Sales and Service.
 
Mr. Vorwald has over 23 years of experience in the flow cytometry and medical device industry, most recently serving as Vice President of Sales at Guava Technologies, Inc.   He previously led Becton Dickinson (BD) Bioscience’s international divisions in both Europe and Asia-Pacific as Vice President, Commercial Operations, for over 11 years. Prior to international management, he held various sales and marketing positions in BD’s U.S. Immunocytometry Systems division.

To separate selected cell types, the user supplies the reagents that provide cell specificity and sets program parameters of the Gigasort™ system to conform to the user's protocol specifications.
